Maxwell, Texas:  Ain't Nuttin Here But THIS HOUSE!!!

Front of House.... House faces North.  This house is solid.... using 6" Old-growth pine framing, Concrete piers with a concrete perimeter, a tin roof and solid wood doors and trimming.

Now for a 360º Tour of the Outside of the House:

Northeast Side of House.  The missing pillar is laying on front porch.  It has been taken off to repair some slight rotting in the wood above the pillar.... 4x4s currently support top balcony.

East Side of House

Closer view of the Kitchen Porch.  Looks like it could be screened in pretty easy (perhaps once was).

South side of House.  The bottom half has been power-washed and re-painted.  No siding needs to be replaced at all... Its all in terrific shape as per its quality.  The freshly painted section fooled us... we thought it was new hardy plank.... its the original siding.

West Side of the House.... You can see more of the Southside re-painted siding.  Great use of windows.

Northwest Side of the House.  Great Trees.

Before we move inside, Let's see some more of this lot:

Lot around house is very wooded.  These trees sit on the West side of the House

I see a treehouse in this tree's future:  Sits on the East side of the Home

Detached Garage/Workshop.  Even though it is probably close to 90 years old, the rolling doors work perfect.... a testament to the home's quality construction

Inside the Garage/Workshop.  It has electricity.

What house is complete without a chicken coop?

Heading inside the coop....

Even still some Eggs inside!!! Smoker can be repaired
Yet another outbuilding.... fairly new Storage Shed Behind the House is a field.  And in this field is a GREENHOUSE!!  Behind the greenhouse (sun wouldn't cooperate to get a good picture) is a ridge giving a view of the valley.
Closer view of the Greenhouse..... needs flooring and some plastic repair, but in good shape with plumbing and electricity. View from Greenhouse back to the house.  The house is behind the line of trees.

Now We'll Head into the Home..... starting from the Kitchen Porch....The Bottom Floor...

The counter and cabinets run alongside the back of the house.  The cabinets (original) have never been painted so there is no damage to the wood.  They are in GREAT condition.  Countertop is dated as are the plumbing fixtures.... would need to be replaced.

Still in the kitchen.  This is facing West.  To the left is a pantry that goes underneath the back stairs (one of 2 stair cases to second floor).  All of that wood trim is original throughout the entire house and has never been painted or damaged.  It is all in excellent condition.

Northeast corner of kitchen.  Doorway leads to Study.  I would move hot water heater to a different room and add more cabinetry along the wall with the stove (north wall) and shelving along the East wall.

View from Study looking west into the Dining room.  The doorway framing this picture is one of two POCKET DOORS (enormously expensive) that close off the study.  Notice the bay window structure and the phenomenal large and detailed windows.  Also, the bead board rail, wood floors (throughout the entire house), wood baseboards and trim.

Facing Southwest from the northeast corner of the study.  doorway to kitchen on left, pocketdoor to hall and dining room to right.  More bead board, wood trim... and... obviously, a very cool wood burner stove!

I am now facing East in the study/office looking through the West pocket door .  Doorway to the front porch and another pocket door to the left (north) that leads into the living room.

In the study looking north.  I should have pulled out one of the pocket doors, they are amazing.  This is a view of the living room.  Just stunning.... but not as stunning as this view from inside the living room..... WOW!!!!!!  Are you kidding me?  This looks West from the living room into the front entry way.  Look at that wood working!  All in excellent condition!!!

Now in the entry way looking west.  This is the SOLID WOOD front staircase.  HOLY CRAP!  The attention to detail here is NOT brought out by this picture.

OK, now we head up those beautiful stairs:

Even though you see vinyl... the entire second floor is hardwood floors as well.  This is the view facing north as you come up the stairs.  We'll call this the "sitting area".  Huge gorgeous window is covered up by the curtain.  This room is open and has a doorway to the balcony.

The top balcony wraps around this bedroom (which we will call the "master bedroom")  From the doorway, I am facing Northeast.  Again, gorgeous hardwood flooring, baseboards, window trip and beautiful detailed windows.

Another large, gorgeous bedroom (despite who used to live there).  I am facing East from the doorway.

That bedroom has a nice built-in!!  This is along the south wall.

Another Large Bedroom.  Floor has some old newspaper on it that was used as "padding" for a rug.  Floor can easily be sanded and restored as will need to be done throughout the entire house.  I am facing West.

A small bedroom.  Facing West

Next to the small bedroom is a stairway back down to the kitchen.  One step to the south of this stairway is a stairway that leads up to the attic (not shown)

Finally, we head up into the attic.... Devin's favorite place...

A little hard to see, but this is a finished out attic (Completed by amateurs, it will need work, but is useable as-is).  This is from the stairway facing north.  Was built to be used as a gameroom.  The boy in the back is Devin playing pool.

Another view of the gameroom, this time facing South.  Devin and Wilson spent their time up here.  That is a built-in bar to the left.  Also, there is a make-shift toilet/sink in the back with a curtain.... should be finished out into a working half-bath.

That completes our tour.... however.... one last picture.... of.... WHO ELSE?

Outside we found some skater ramps the previous owners were building.... This is Devin hanging out on one of those ramps.
